Professional Dog Training

Dog Training from A Certified Professional Dog Traininer-Knowledge Assessed

Angela, started off in 1997, offering dog training under the business name Angela's Dog Obedience until in 2002, when she opened up A Doggie's Day Spa. Angela knows that there are many different ways to train your dog, just depends on which way works best for you and your dog! Angela has taught numerous training classes and specializes in behavioral modification.  She has used her training knowledge to help with those pets who need extra care during the grooming process. Angela is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers for many years. Angela took her test through the Certification Council for the Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and recieved her title Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed.

Dog Training/Behavior Modification

One-on-one Coaching

Personalized manners training designed for dogs who need extra focus or handlers who prefer tailored instruction. Work directly with our trainer to build focus, confidence, and polite behavior, at your dog's pace. 

What we teach (customized):

  • Sit, down, stay, place
  • Come when called
  • Polite greetings and calm behavior
  • Problem behaviors addressed individually

Included:

  • 1-on-1 sessions with our trainer
  • Training plan + homework
  • Individualized progress support

Goal: Personal foundations for calm, well-mannered life skills

The price for one-on-one at Fuzzy Butts is $125.00 for the evaluation and then after the first class each session would be $50.00 for (30 minutes) or $85.00 for (60 minutes). The price for one-on-one at the clients home or another location would be $154.50 for the evaluation and then after the first class each session $66.95 for (30 minutes) or $103.00 for (60 minutes).

Star Puppy Class

Give your puppy the best start in life! Our fun and confidence-building puppy school teaches essential manners, supportive environment. You and your puppy will learn together through positive reinforcement, games, confidence-building exercises, and real-world practice. (for Puppies 8 weeks - 1 year)

What we cover:

  • Puppy manners & house training skills
  • Socialization & Confidence building
  • Basic Obedience (sit, down, come, leash manners, impulse control)
  • Handling & grooming comfort
  • Polite greetings
  • Problem-solving & puppy challenges (nipping, potty training, crate training support)

  • 6-week class
  • Guided socialization
  • AKC STAR Puppy test
  • Certificate + ribbon & photo ops

Basic Etiquette Class

Teach your dog essential manners and foundations for a polite, confident life with you. This class builds focus, impulse control, and calm behavior in real-life situations. (Rescue dogs or next class after Puppy Star)

  • Calm focus around distractions
  • Door manners + place training basics
  • Respectful social skills

Includes:

  • 6-week instructor-guided group class
  • Homework + progress guidance

Canine Good Citizen Prep Class

Our GCG Prep class teaches the 10 core AKC Good Citizen skills and helps you and your dog work as a confident, calm team in public settings. (Perfect next step after Puppy STAR or Basic Etiquette.)

What we teach:

  • Polite greetings with people & dogs
  • Loose-leash walking + heel basics
  • Calm behavior during grooming/exams
  • Confidence around distractions & crowds
  • Practice for all 10 GCG test items

Includes:

  • 6-week CGC prep program
  • Practice + homework support
  • Exposure to real-world scenarios

Goal: Prepared and confident for CGC testing

CGC Testing Session

Demonstrate your dog's good manners and earn the AKC Canine Good Citizen title. Dogs complete the 10-item test with a certified evaluator and receive a certificate upon passing.

Includes:

  • Official AKC CGC evaluation
  • Ribbon + certificate
  • Title celebration photo

Goal: Prepared and confident for CGC testing

Dogs must be comfortable around people + dogs and have basic manners. Not a training session-test only.

Advance Etiquette Class

Take your dog's manners and reliability to the next level! This 6-week program builds on our Basic Etiquette foundations and focuses on real-world obedience, reliability around distractions, and confidence in public settings. (Perfect for dogs ready for more challenge + public manners, handers wanting reliable real-world obedience, and families planning to pursue advance CGC titles, therapy dog work or advanced obedience)

Training will take place both at Fuzzy Butts and in approved public environments. 

What we work on:

  • Loose-leash walking to transitioning toward off-leash reliability
  • Advanced stay + place work with high-level distractions
  • Engagement + focus around people, dogs, and new environments
  • Recalls with distance + distraction proofing
  • Manners in public areas-polite greetings, calm behavior, impulse control
  • Confidence-building fieldwork + supervised park practice

Prerequisite:

Completion of Basic Etiquette Class (or trainer approval)

Goal: Real-life obedience and confident, polite behavior in public environments -building toward CGC and beyond.

AKC Community Canine (CGCA) Prep Class

Take your dog's manners into the real world? This advanced manners program prepares dogs for the AKC Community Canine (CGCA) test, the next step after CGC. You'll practice calm, polite behavior in public settings and build confidence with real-life challenges.  

What we work on:

  • Advanced leash manners in public 
  • Polite greetings with strangers
  • Reliable sit/down stays i busy environments
  • Ignore distractions-dogs, people, sounds
  • Loose leash walking through crowds
  • Waiting calmly in public areas (doors, seating, sidewalks)
  • Controlled entry/exit behavior

Training Includes:

  • 6-week group course
  • Public field-trip practice
  • Test prep + mock runs
  • Eligible to test for CGCA at final class

AKC Urban Canine (CGCU) Prep Class

Master city manners! This class prepares dogs for the AKC Urban CGC test- focusing on training in real-life environments with traffic, shops, noises, and crowds:

What we work on:

  • Calm behavior around city distractions
  • Walking on sidewalks + busy foot traffic
  • Navigating doorsm public buildings, elevators
  • Noise confidence (horns, carts, sirens)
  • Leash control around food & cafe areas
  • Crosswalk manners + impulse control

Training Includes:

  • 6-week group course
  • city outings + structured urban practice
  • Mock test + offiicial CGCu test option

Prerequisite:

CGC title or trainer approval

Great for: Therapy dog hopefuls, adventure families, and confident city companions.

Dogs should be 12 weeks of age and/or have at least 3 sets of puppy shots.


Yes they can learn at any age. As they age they tend to be more stubborn but yes they can learn 


We will have to pull your dog from class until she is out of heat. We can't have her disrupting class and other dogs behavior will be different from the hormones.


As long as you can handle your child and your dog in class, you can bring a child any age to class.


Yes, but you will need two adults, one for each of the dogs. If you bring two dogs to the same class then the second dog is half price.


We will discuss all of that during the first class, but I will say that there isn't a one size fits all. Anything recommended to your dog might not be the same that everyone else in the class will use. Angela will use what works best for you and your dog.
